To begin a blog, it's better to just type something, even if it isn't very good. For example, the preceeding sentence.

In beginning a blog, I'm thinking about the following things:

• Learnings from the last 11 years working for The Company the AR/VR space.

• What's next for me, I'd like to maybe make some video games.

• Having a broadcast space to place arbitrary milestones on progress.

Specifically, it's been really nice getting to relax a bit the last few months and catch up on every project I'd put on hold for the last decade or so. Lots of cooking (more on this later?). Lots of reorganizing my home to be a better space to live in.

Also, some time to actually read some really good books (more on this later).

However what's been difficult is buckling down for an involved project like building a game prototype. One thing I learned about how-I-work at The Company, is the importance of collaboration and on having somebody expecting and waiting for my code, in order to drive me to the fastest, best solution.

Sitting in open loop mode, it's much too easy to spin endlessly on the question of where to start.

So, this is the starting point of this blog: an outlet for showing off what I've been doing, as a further means of creating an audience that expects me to have done something. Good luck to me.
